The only picture I’ve seen with an IR emitter stuck to the face of a TiVo shows it stuck to the TiVo logo on a white Bolt. The TiVo IR Adapter lets you control TiVo devices that do not have a direct line of sight for an IR remote (, in a cabinet or closet). If you have a BOLT Series UES or Roamio Series DVR, you have an RF remote, and don't need the IR Adapter to use your TiVo device without line of sight.
