In a previous blog post we had a look at connecting an Adafruit Huzzah (ESP8266) to the Azure IoT Hub. In this post we are going to use a CCS811 CO2 sensor and connect this sensor to our Adafruit Huzzah so we can ultimately send CO2 sensor data to the Azure IoT Hub. One common use case would be monitoring room air quality, and sending out alerts when critical levels are reached.

Secure IoT devices seamlessly. Each Meraki MT environmental sensor features a Trust Anchor module (TAm), which securely authenticates the device and encrypts all communication with the sensor gateways. Combined with automated firmware updates, Meraki MT environmental sensors pack a powerful security punch in a smart package.
Therefore, the XENSIV TM PAS CO2 sensor outperforms state-of-the-art NDIR sensors in terms of size and cost, without compromising on performance. Features: Benefits: Exceptionally small form factor (14 x x mm 3) Accurate and robust performance at ppm level (±30 ppm ±3% of reading)
Installing sensors in optimal locations for forest fire detection is critical. A network of EM500-CO 2 sensors can be placed in different areas in a forest to detect when a fire has started. Besides the CO 2 (carbon dioxide) monitoring, which can measure the changes in temperature, humidity, and barometric pressure which are caused by a fire in the forest.
The following instructions are provided to assist you in developing this CO2 sensor unit that can: Measure the CO2 levels in the air. Record CO2 at regular intervals (store a value and timestamp). Display the current CO2 level being measured, as well as: temperature, air pressure and humidity through our IoT platform “Wappsto” through a wapp.
Sensors enable the Internet of Things (IoT) by collecting the data for smarter decisions. Learn how TE Connectivity (TE) sensors are used in applications including consumer devices, Industry , and medical applications including remote patient monitoring. As the Internet of Things (IoT) industry grows, so do the opportunities to utilize sensors.
The EM500-CO2 helps in real-time monitoring of CO2 (carbon dioxide) emissions. This sensor measures a large change in carbon dioxide concentration. By placing the sensors at optimal locations within the forest, it will be more accurate to calculate the CO2 (carbon dioxide) rate. Combining with the advanced LoRa technology and 19000mAh battery ...
Sep 25, 2018· Iot Co2 Sensor. Sep 25. by Evert on September 25, 2018. Posted In: Esp8266. For measuring the air quality in the living room I was looking for a CO2 sensor to build my own CO2 Iot node. Looking around on the internet I found the MH-Z19 sensor, not that expensive and according to other users this sensor is accurate.
Let’s take a look at some of the key sensors, extensively being used in the IoT world. Temperature sensors. By definition, “A device, used to measure amount of heat energy that allows to detect a physical change in temperature from a particular source and converts the data for a device or user, is known as a Temperature Sensor.”
The CO2 sensor utilizes LoRaWAN connectivity to send the CO2 concentration data of the indoor environment. Measuring CO2 levels indirectly determines how many people are in a room, and ventilation can be adjusted accordingly. It can help administrators to maintain the suitable indoor air quality in the workplace for alertness and more productivity.

No cables or other infrastructure required, just turn on the device and know when to open the window to let fresh air in. Discover the CO2 signal light and other sensors by clicking the button below.
Aug 04, 2021· Air quality sensors. Air quality Internet of Things (IoT) sensors work alongside traditional air quality monitoring technology to collect greater volumes of granular data. These sensors track temperature, humidity, altitude, atmospheric pressure, carbon dioxide levels, as well as pollutants like methane, carbon monoxide, and ammonium.
An electronic sensor detects and measures a physical phenomenon, such as temperature, pressure, force, or acceleration, and provides a corresponding output, usually in the form of an electronic signal. Airflow Sensors. Contain advanced microstructure technology to provide a sensitive & fast response to flow, amount/direction of air or other gases.

The SCD-41 is a photoacoustic 'true' CO2 sensor that will tell you the CO2 PPM (parts-per-million) composition of ambient air. Unlike the SGP30, this sensor isn't approximating it from VOC gas concentration - it really is measuring the CO2 concentration! That means it's bigger and more expensive, but it is the real thing.
