2018-10-24· 153. The G6 has worked very well for me, though I find it does take 24 to 36 hours to settle down. My current one was very noisy during that period but settled eventually. I calibrate after it has calmed down. It's now been in 15 days & I did a second calibration yesterday. I've only used my stomach so far - 4 sensors.
On Friday I am leaving to go to Italy with my boyfriend to meet his family and i’m in need of any advice i can get. I am newly diagnosed (a little over a year ago) and i’ve never traveled on a plane with my pump and cgm let alone to another country in general. if there is anything you recommend i do before i leave, make sure i bring, or do at the airport, i will gladly take any suggestions.

Three out of my last four sensors have failed before day 10. Sensor 1: Failure on day 7. Sensor 2: Complete 10 days. Sensor 3: Failure on day 7. Sensor 4: Failure on day 4. Dexcom has replaced all three, and quickly shipped the replacements, but it sure is tough on my healing infusion sites to cut short so many 10-day intervals.
