TMP006:Infrared Thermopile Contactless Temperature Sensor in WCSP Package. The TMP006 and TMP006B are fully integrated MEMs thermopile sensors that measure the temperature of an object without having to be in direct contact. The thermopile absorbs passive infrared energy from an object at wavelengths between 4 um to 16 um within the end-user defined field of view. The corresponding …
I am a Phd student in UT arlington. I am interested in the new product TMP006. I'd like to know the internal structure and sensitivity of the thermopile sensor. Thank you for the information. In our datasheet we specify the sensor voltage and resolution with listed conditions on the ambient and ...
TI’s LMP93601 is a Low-noise, High gain, 3-Channel AFE for Thermopile Sensors. Find parameters, ordering and quality information
The board can be used with a variety of thermopile occupancy detector arrays, thermopile flow sensors, and a range of transducers connected in a bridge configuration. The board is interfaced to a host computer (PC) via USB interface. A graphical user interface (GUI) software is available from Texas Instruments website to allow the evaluation platform to run with a PC.

Thermopile sensors are designed to measure temperature from a distance by detecting an object's infrared (IR) energy. The higher the temperature, the more IR energy is emitted. The thermopile sensing element, composed of small thermocouples on a silicon chip, absorb the energy and produce an output signal. A reference sensor is designed into the package as a reference for compensation ...

Figure 4-1. Temperature Sensor Composed of Thermopile Sensor and Thermistor Figure 4-2 explains the reason for using two sets of sensors. To know the temperature of the object, one must know the voltage developed when IR light falls on one end of the thermopile sensor. The voltage ( ΔV) will be proportional to the temperature difference ( ΔT ...
The TI TMP006 (Infrared Thermopile Contactless Temperature Sensor) measures the temperature of an object without need of direct contact with the object. After initialization the sensor can be set active for periodic measurements. The conversion duration depends on oversample ratio. The oversample ratio can be determined by sensor initialization. The target object temperature can be calculated ...

01/08/2011· This sensor uses a thermopile to absorb the infrared energy emitted from the object being measured and uses the corresponding change in thermopile voltage to determine the object temperature. Infrared sensor voltage range is specified from -40°C to +125°C to enable use in a wide range of applications. Low power consumption along with low operating voltage makes the part …
It is not marketed as a thermopile but as a temperature sensor. My question is could we use TMP007 with a IR bulb to detect CO2 in the sampling chamber? As a third party CO2 sensor costs over $200, which is made primarily for ambient sensing, using TMP007 may get our BOM cost dramatically down.
